5 star rating My family very much enjoyed our visit today. I care deeply about our planet, our oceans and the creatures who call them home. This year, I have grown my interest in and love for sea turtles. This center is a rescue and hospital facility for these amazing animals, and offers wonderful education via various programs, tours and terrific volunteers. I felt like I had an intimate experience with the turtles receiving care, and waiting for the day they can be released back to their ocean home. Go, and give generously to help this worthy cause.

5 star rating This is a great place to visit! The volunteers were chock full of information about the current inhabitants. There is a room with screens where kids can color in their own fish and then send them to the reef (a screen with fish swimming). There is a sculpture made completely of plastic found in the oceans.

My daughter (16) and I did a public tour with Bob as our tour guide. We lucked out it was just the two of us, and even though it was thundering and lightning and we weren’t able to really see all the turtles, we still had an amazing tour. Bob answered a gazillion questions for us and we learned so much more than we expected. Really worth it and gave us a better appreciation for all the marked turtle nests on the beach and what was going the next morning when we got to see some baby loggerheads (we think) hatching and making their to the ocean!

They had about 6 sea turtles in tanks on display, and many neat facts about sea turtles of the area. The volunteers were very friendly and would come engage us in discussion. It was a very pleasant and inviting atmosphere. I wish my kids were with me, it’s very educational and fun for all ages.

I love this place. Although it's not big, it was still a great experience to see and listen to all the stories of the sea turtles they helped save and recover on site. Kids will love this place but also adults if you love marine turtles as much as I do. They also have small exhibits of fish and even jellyfish which was cool. I highly recommend if you are in the area to check this place out!

This was a wonderful place. They pick up injured sea turtles & hatchlings that didn't make it to the water. They diagnose the problem, get them well & return them home. If the turtles can't be returned to the sea, the fund permanent homes for them. The staff is so nice & provide great info about what they do & each turtle they have. This is a great place to go!! Great for kids & adults. It's free to go in but I put a $20 in jar to help Sea Turtles.

Living in Florida our family finds it important to educate ourselves about the environment and our coastline/ocean that we enjoy spending time at. Loggerhead is a great place to spend the day learning about sea turtles all while having fun. The staff and volunteers are so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The turtles are making to watch swim around. The kids also love to play doctor in the educational area.

5 star rating This was an amazing experience. The kids (8) & (5) joined the Junior Research lab. The class was small and very educational. Lots of fun!! The kids got to experience what the researchers do when they find a turtle nest. We got to observe baby turtles (hatchlings) that had been rescued immediately after the class. The interactive aquarium wall was fun for kids to see their drawing come to life. It was thunderstorming so we could not get close to tanks, but could still see them from a distance. The gift shop had a great collection of souvenirs. All the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Tip: call ahead to see how many turtles are there before taking a trip.

Love the renovation they did. Very cool. They have some fish ranks they've added inside and out...wish there was more information about the fish in tanks besides thru audio tour option. So great to see how they provide homes for injured turtles. 🙌

5 star rating I would highly recommend the guided turtle walk to any nature lover. Firstly, we watched an excellent and informative presentation about turtles. Then we got the green light to go down to the beach and watch a female loggerhead lay her eggs! A once-in-a-lifetime experience. Staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable, and you can tell they truly care about the health, safety, and wellbeing of these stunning creatures.
