Sargassum

Step into the shoes of a Marine Biologist through Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s Homeschool Workshop Series exclusively for homeschool students! Students will be immersed in marine science through hands-on lessons in the field.

Duration

1.5 Hours

About

Students will take a biologist-led walk along the beach to learn about sargassum seaweed and its importance to the beach ecosystem as well as to our hatchling sea turtles. We will then come back to the classroom to explore some fresh sargassum and see what sorts of little critters we can find living in the seaweed.
