The Sounds of TurtleFest 2017
Talented musicians Jahfé, Del Pelson, Fireside Prophets and The People Upstairs along with performances by the Performing Arts Academy of Jupiter and the Maltz Jupiter Theatre will take the stage while guests enjoy up-close encounters with threatened and endangered sea turtles. JahféGenre: Roots-Rock-Reggae Jahfé is a crowd-pleasing Miami reggae band that has opened for many of the biggest names in the business including Damian Marley, Steel Pulse and Toots and the Maytals. Jahfé are an eclectic group, comprised of heavyweight session players and fronted by Esther Fortune; a commanding reggae front-woman who, like her band, is capable of effortlessly shifting from rock steady to roots, to dub and back again. Jahfé also allows elements of rock and hip-hop to influence their sound, which rounds out their eclectic appeal. Members:

Del PelsonGenre: Alt. Pop Del Pelson is a five-piece Alternative Pop group based out of South Florida, combining catchy indie-pop melodies with the power of alternative rock. Formed in early 2015, singer/songwriter Cal Nelson and drummer Garrett Kealer met while performing together in a jazz quintet at Florida Atlantic University. Bassist Nathaniel Spiner was then introduced through Garrett, spawning the initial trio of the band. After a year of writing, tracking, and gigging, the trio sought to expand and added Douglas De Jong on guitar and Patrick Montanari on keyboard. Members:

Maltz Jupiter Theatre – Conservatory of Performing Artswww.jupitertheatre.org/education The Maltz Jupiter Theatre Paul and Sandra Goldner Conservatory of Performing Arts offers a challenging, innovative and quality theatre experience to students of all ages and abilities. It provides professional theatre training, as well as tools to develop their imagination and self-esteem. The Conservatory offers classes in dance, voice, acting and musical theatre for students from toddlers to seniors, all taught by Broadway-caliber instructors. In addition to a full schedule of classes, the Conservatory’s workshops and master classes offer students an opportunity to learn first-hand about the world of theatre from nationally known composers and performers, agents and local instructors. As a not-for-profit theatre, the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, recognizing the importance of arts education for all ages, has made its mission to “entertain, educate and inspire.” The Conservatory offers a challenging, innovative and quality theatre experience to students of every ability and provides professional theatre training, as well as tools to develop their imagination and self-esteem. Conservatory students, in addition to taking classes, are invited to attend workshops that feature local and national talent.
