Mommy & Me Paint!
The Mommy & Me Paint program is offered Thursday's at 10:30 a.m. and designed to introduce basic sea turtle conservation and biology to young children. The program begins with a brief ocean-themed story and includes a hands-on biofact lesson following a painting activity. Participants have an opportunity to take home their painted ceramic turtles and their new sea turtle knowledge. Register for your desired date on our calendar.

Our Hatchling Tales program is geared towards toddlers with a natural curiosity for marine life and sea turtles. In this free, ocean-inspired program, children will enjoy an ocean-themed story coupled with a themed craft to create and take home. This program is designed to cater to young families in the community by offering a new story and craft each session, encouraging frequent visits and support. Our Astronomy Nights program is offered once a month based on the activity of the night sky. Aside from learning about the stars and planets, this program also touches on light pollution and sky glow, encouraging guests to increase their awareness of their impact on the night sky. The night will begin with a seminar led by the Astronomical Society of the Palm Beaches and end with a peer through powerful telescopes and binoculars to get a closer look.

Join Loggerhead Marinelife Center staff and discover just how alive our beaches are with an interactive presentation and backyard beach expedition. Over this hour-long course, we will discuss the common residents of Florida’s coastal ecosystems and discover how these curious creatures make their long journey from the ocean to our beautiful beaches. Comfortable walking shoes are strongly suggested, as we will be walking in soft, loose sand. Register at your desired on our calendar.

Led by an experienced naturalist, our hammock hikes are an excursion through some of Florida’s most precious habitat. Navigating through the rare coastal hammock and natural dune systems, you will learn the birds in the trees all the way to the grains of sand on the beach. Science for Seniors
Paul A.Brown, M.D will cover everything from sea turtle biology to your biology and health during these 1-hour lectures. Attend all four sessions to receive your free graduation gift and a tour inside our sea turtle hospital! Dr. Brown is a Harvard/Tufts educated pathologist who trained at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and then transformed the field of laboratory medicine by founding MetPath, now known as Quest Diagnostics. Jr. Veterinarian Lab
Junior Veterinary Lab accommodates up to 10 children in a 30 minute program, educating children on the process of sea turtle rescue to release. The Jr. Vets come to the aid of a green sea turtle replica and Dr. Logger teaches the group about common injuries and illnesses that affect these endangered animals. Bring out your child’s inner WILD in our Wild Child program every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. This 1-hour program will introduce your child to the colors, textures, sights and sounds of the ocean as we adventure into our local beach-side park to discover nature. Register at desired date on our calendar.

Kids Fishing Program
Participants will learn basic techniques for fishing from both a beach and a fishing pier including knot tying, casting, species identification, and proper release protocols. In addition to fishing skills, participants will learn to be ethical anglers and discover how to reduce their impact on marine life including sea turtles and shore birds.
